Infineon Technologies PSOC™ Control C3 Microcontrollers (MCUs) are next-generation devices developed specifically for motor control applications. Using real-time control with Arm® Cortex®-M33, this high-performance microcontroller family enables designers to deliver the market innovations customers expect from their next-generation devices. The PSOC Control enables designers to innovate industrial products with next-generation technology. Utilizing differentiating peripherals to adapt Wide-Bandgap (WBG), integrated features to reduce system BOM costs, advanced security and safety with PSA Certified™ Level 2, and ready-to-use code examples and development tools supported in the ModusToolbox™ software suite. This latest family of microcontrollers will increase performance and efficiency for the next generation of motor control products.
The PSOC Control C3 microcontroller features a high-performance ADC and an integrated CORDIC Accelerator. With true synchronous “idle” sampling of up to 16 analog signals from the single-core ADC, up to 25% faster results are possible without any sampling jitter. The CORDIC Accelerator can turn off the CPU and increase computational power for real-time critical tasks such as field-oriented motor control algorithms. In addition, the programmable Timer/Counter Pulse-Width Modulator (TCPWM) has a Motion Interface (MOTIF) block that can communicate motor control signals. This unique combination of power and performance will bring the next generation of industrial solutions to market.
To enable various applications with optimized solutions, the Infineon PSOC Control C3M product line is specific to motor control applications. The line includes products in the Entry (best value) and Main Line (more features and high performance) families.
