HAL® 1820 Sensors

TDK-Micronas HAL® 1820 Sensors are universal magnetic field sensors with a linear analog output based on the Hall effect. The IC can be used for angle and linear measurements when combined with a rotating or moving magnet. Major characteristics such as field range, sensitivity, offset (output voltage at zero magnetic field), and the temperature coefficients are programmable in non-volatile memory. HAL 1820 sensors are programmable by modulating the supply voltage of the sensor and require no additional programming. The easy programmability allows a two-point calibration by adjusting the output signal directly to the input signal (like mechanical angle, distance, or current). TDK-Micronas HAL 1820 Sensors have a junction temperature range from -40°C to 170°C. These sensors offer a cost-effective alternative for applications needing mechanical adjustment or laser trimming for calibrating the system. Ideal applications are automotive and industrial.
