Analog Devices Inc. AD5721R Voltage Output DACs
Analog Devices AD5721R 12-Bit Multiple Range Voltage Output Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) are serial input, voltage output DACs that operate from single supply voltages of 4.75V-30V or dual supply voltages of -16.5V to 0V VSS and 4.75V-16.5V VDD. With its integrated output amplifier, reference buffer, the single-channel AD5721R DACs provide an easy-to-use, universal solution.Compatible with DSP and microcontroller interface standards, AD5721R's serial interface operates at clock rates of up to 50MHz. Double buffering enables the asynchronous updating of the DAC output. User-selectable functions include twos complement or straight binary input coding and output range via the RA[2:0] bits in the control register.
Eight software-programmable output ranges are available including 0V to 5V, 0V to 10V, 0V to 16V, 0V to 20V, ±3V, ±5V, ±10V, −2.5V to +7.5V with 5% over range. Operating to specifications over the -40°C to +125°C industrial temperature range, the AD5721R DACs are ideal for industrial automation, instrumentation, data acquisition, open-/closed-loop servo control, process control, and programmable logic controllers.
