Analog Devices Inc. EV-RADAR-MMIC2 Evaluation Board

Analog Devices EV-RADAR-MMIC2 Evaluation Board evaluates the performance of the ADF5901 24GHz transmitter (Tx) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), ADF5904 24GHz receiver (Rx) MMIC, and ADF4159 13GHz phase-locked loop (PLL) for a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar systems.

The evaluation kit includes the EV-RADAR-MMIC2 evaluation board, EV-ADAR-D2S evaluation board, and evaluation software. The EV-ADAR-D2S evaluation board includes the AD8129 differential receiver amplifiers. The AD8129 differential receiver amplifiers convert the baseband ADF5904 differential signals to single-ended signals with a 20dB gain.

The evaluation software controls the device functions from a PC compatible with Windows® XP and later Windows versions for easy programming of the device. The EV-RADAR-MMIC2 Evaluation Board requires either the SDP-S or SDP-B board. The SDP board enables software programming of all devices.
