Extech MG320 Insulation Tester/True-RMS Multimeter
Extech MG320 CAT IV Insulation Tester/True-RMS Multimeter tests up to 1kV (1000V) and 20GΩ on motors, generators, transformers, and other electrical components found in industrial predictive maintenance programs. Five test voltages (50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V) are available with step voltages in 10% increments in a 50% to 120% range. The rugged meter features both Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) modes along with continuity and low resistance testing with 20kΩ and zero function for advanced testing.
A comparison mode allows users to customize Pass/Fail values for the varying requirements of insulation tests. Insulation testing length can be set with a programmable timer and the locking function mode enables hands-free use. Accurate readings are displayed on a large, backlit dual display with a digital readout and analog bar graph. Up to 99 readings can be manually stored/recalled, and readings on the display can also be frozen using Data Hold. The meter internally discharges the voltage test signal automatically after testing is complete.
The MG320 combines powerful insulation resistance testing with the essential diagnostic capabilities of a True-RMS multimeter, reducing toolbox clutter. AC and DC voltage measurements can be taken in addition to the above functions. The meter includes a tilt stand, test leads, an alligator clip, six AA batteries, and a soft storage case.
