KYOCERA AVX TransGuard® Mulitlayer Varistors

KYOCERA AVX TransGuard® Multilayer Varistors provide a wide range of reliable SMT components for bidirectional overvoltage protection with the advantage of EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state for professional, industrial, and commercial applications. TransGuard MLVs are zinc oxide (ZnO) based ceramic semiconductor devices with non-linear voltage-current characteristics (bi-directional) similar to back-to-back Zener diodes. These KYOCERA AVX MLVs have the added advantage of greater current and energy handling capabilities, very fast turn-on time, and multiple strikes capability, as well as EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state.
