Microchip Technology ATEK-MXT640UD-A Evaluation Kit (EV52F23A) is a complete kit for developing applications based on the ATMXT640UD maXTouch® Touchscreen Controller. The ATMXT640UD incorporates proprietary differential touch sensing, delivering unparalleled noise immunity ensuring superior touch performance even in harsh environments. The device enables detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloved touch through a wide variety of overlay materials and thicknesses, even in the presence of moisture, water, and even saltwater. Combined with a high acquisition speed, these features provide a fast, accurate, and reliable touch solution. The ATMXT640UD Controller also incorporates diagnostic functions, which constantly monitor the integrity of the touch system.

The Microchip Technology ATEK-MXT640UD-A Evaluation Kit includes an ATMXT640UD-DEV-PCB Control Board featuring a pre-installed ATMXT640UD maXTouch Touchscreen Controller in a 6.0mm x 6.0mm UFBGA-88 package. The Control Board connects to the included 5.9" Touchscreen Assembly via a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) cable. A set of self-adhesive feet are supplied with the Evaluation Kit to allow for the touchscreen assembly to be used on the desk or bench. Alternatively, the touchscreen assembly may be mounted to a suitable display for evaluation of on-screen performance. The included MaxTouch Bridge Board (ATUSB-HSBB-PCB) enables connection to a PC running the maXTouch Studio LITE software.
