
Microchip Technology Atmel-ICE Kit
Microchip Technology Atmel-ICE Kit is a development tool for debugging and programming Arm® Cortex®-M based SAM and AVR microcontrollers with on-chip debug capability. Atmel-ICE is fully compatible with Atmel Studio and supports the programming and debugging of all Atmel AVR UC3 32-bit microcontrollers. The Atmel-ICE unit requires a front-end debugging environment Atmel Studio version 6.2 or later and should be connected to a host computer using the provided USB cable or a certified Micro-USB cable.Atmel-ICE kit contents:
- ATATMEL-ICE (Full Kit): Encapsulated main unit, USB cable, 10-lead squid cable, flat cable (10-pin 50mil connector and 6-pin 100mil connector), and adapter board (20-pin 100mil connector, 6-pin 50mil connector, and 10-pin 100mil connector)
- ATATMEL-ICE-BASIC (Basic Kit): Encapsulated main unit, USB cable, and flat cable (10-pin 50mil connector and 6-pin 100mil connector)
- ATATMEL-ICE-PCBA: PCB assembly of the main unit only, no cables
- ATATMEL-ICE-ADPT: 10-lead squid cable, flat cable (10-pin 50mil connector and 6-pin 100mil connector), and adapter board (20-pin 100mil connector, 6-pin 50mil connector, and 10-pin 100mil connector)
- ATATMEL-ICE-CABLE: Flat cable (10-pin 50mil connector and 6-pin 100mil connector)

- Supports SWD clock frequencies from 32kHz to 10MHz

- Supports DGI SPI and USART interfaces when not debugging or programming
- Supports 10-pin 50-mil JTAG connector with both AVR and Cortex pinouts. The standard probe cable supports AVR 6-pin ISP/PDI/TPI 100-mil headers and 10-pin 50-mil. An adapter is available to support 6-pin 50-mil, 10-pin 100-mil, and 20-pin 100-mil headers. Several kit options are available with different cabling and adapters.
