Samtec PC/104™ Standard Connectors

Samtec PC/104™ Standard Connectors are available in ESQ series with multiple positions, rows, and stack heights. These Samtec connectors feature standard and low insertion force contacts with 0.35" square tails for PC/104 applications. The ESQ connectors follow the base PC/104 standard that defines a compact form factor and can be used in self-stacking buses. This eliminates the cost and bulk of backplanes and card cages. The PC/104 specification is accepted as the "base document" for the IEEE draft standard called the P996.1 standard for Compact Embedded-PC modules. This PC/104 standard expands upon the existing PC bus, allowing companies to embed PC technology in limited-space applications.

The PC/104 modules can be used in two different ways: one as standalone module stacks and the other as component-like applications. This standalone module stacks are self-nesting and are spaced 0.6" apart, while the PC/104 connector can also function as a highly integrated component. The PC/104 connectors are ideal for single, double, and triple rows up to 108 pins.
